Cookie Policy

The three cookies Qualia sets, what each one does, and how to remove them.

Last updated October 4, 2026

A cookie is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to store. Qualia sets three cookies, all of them its own. Two are needed to sign in; the third remembers a setting you choose.

The __Host- prefix tells your browser to accept a cookie only over a secure connection, and only from Qualia’s own address.

What Qualia doesn’t use

Qualia has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Its pages don’t load scripts, images or fonts from other websites, so nothing else can set cookies through them. The one exception is Cloudflare, the network in front of Qualia: when it needs to tell people from automated traffic it can set its own short-lived security cookies (such as __cf_bm), which are needed for security and not used to track you. Qualia doesn’t use local storage or similar browser storage to track you either.

Because every cookie Qualia sets is either needed for sign-in or set by a choice you make, Qualia doesn’t show a cookie banner.

Removing cookies

You can see and delete cookies in your browser’s settings, usually under privacy or site data. Deleting the session cookie signs you out, and signing out removes it. Deleting ql_fx turns profile effects back on.

If you block cookies for Qualia, you can still read public pages, but you won’t be able to sign in.

Changes

This page will be updated if the cookies Qualia sets change. The date at the top shows when it last changed. For everything else about your information, see the Privacy Policy.
